As I get ready to head to Portland for my next level of Nia training, I feel excited and nervous. What new things will I discover about teaching Nia, and more importantly- about myself?
Nia has given me a new way to think about health and so I know that I will go through an intense experience, personally, spiritually, and emotionally and of course physically. My hopes are that I come away with a deeper understanding of how to integrate it into my own life and how to communicate better with my students. We always have a good time doing Nia, so this will just heighten our experiences together. I'm excited for them!
I'm also excited to meet the founders Debbie and Carlos, to understand their vision more clearly. And to visit Portland, OR, I never been, and I love the west coast.
So what am I nervous about? Not being able to be at my best physically since hurting my foot. Puts a real damper on things :( Not being able to handle it all mentally, sometimes I feel like my brain is mush, unable to process things clearly.
But no more negative thinking- I know I will come away with a very positive experience :)
Blue is my favourite colour!
HI Susan
ReplyDeleteThinking about the depth of experience you are having in Portland - and what a blast it is to dance with so many people in one studio - as well as to witness the work and passion of Debbie, Carlos and the rest of the team in Portland - they are an amazing team - living the Nia principles in every moment. Hope you are still riding on the JOY of the experience the travels home!! Enjoy your time with family too!
