Hot and but not Heavy!

Summer is on and we have been sweating it up in the summer session of Nia classes. Moderating our own intensity levels during the routine is important to maintain a healthy heart rate and still feel we are using our muscles in every way to get a great workout. Most of us are more active during the summer: biking, swimming, gardening, kayaking, or building projects. Nia helps us to move in new ways, opening pathways to the nervous system, stimulating the mind, and invigorating the spirit.
With a focus on X-ray anatomy, we have been visualizing what is going on inside as we move. Today the focus is our joints: how do they operate, ball or hinge joint, what ways am I mobile, where am I tight?
Only two more weeks to go and then the fall session starts. New routines and workshops are on the way!
